Hours/shifts: Average 8 hours per week times and days by mutual arrangement. There is flexibility with the hours so could be every other week or during school holidays. Please apply if you can offer any regular hours.

• I am looking for an experienced and vigilant PA to engage with my son in my home and to accompany my family on days out acting as an extra pair of hands in order that my son can gain trust and accept any change to his routine.
• My son is 7 years old and has Autism, global development delay, speech and language delay, sensory processing disorder, Pica (persistent eating of substances with no nutritional value) and ARFID (Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder).
• My son is a happy little boy, when he has structure and routine, if this changes he can become anxious. He likes to be busy, and enjoy physical activities such as the trampoline, swimming and trips to the park or theme parks.
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided.

Other Requirements 

• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

Typical duties

Personal Care
• Nappy changing as required.
• Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings.
• Mealtimes very restricted diet due to ARFID, training will be given
• Flushing PEG when needed and training will be provided.

• Acting as an extra pair of hands on family days out.
• Engaging with my son at home in activities he enjoys and keeping him safe.

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
