Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker

Location:  Chandlers Ford          

Hourly rate:  £11 per hour

Hours/shifts: 9 hours to be discussed at interview plus hours to cover other PA as required

Summary

  • Part time Personal Assistant required to support a mature, disabled gentleman
  • To take him out and socialise and to share interests in photography, art and places of interest
  • To assist attending appointments and to give support
  • To cover holidays of other P.A.   
  • Must have clean driving licence
  • Must be able to cook
  • Help with shaving
  • Helping with phone calls and general paperwork

 Other Requirements 

       

  • Must have a UK driving licence
  • Must have access to own vehicle

                

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description

Typical duties

Domestic -        

Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork

Assisting with phone calls on my behalf

Cook meals

 

Personal Care:  

Assisting me with shaving

Social:   

  • Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities and places of interest
  • Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
  • Driving and accompanying to social events
  • Accompanying to social meetings eg friends, family
  • The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car

  • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
  • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to this role.
