Days can be discussed at interview. Summary I am an easy-going, independent man who likes to have a laugh, looking for a reliable, confident and caring Personal Assistant/Support Worker. I require support with general cleaning of a neat and tidy house, such changing the bed and laundry. I require support with preparing meals and shopping from time to time. A small amount of personal care is involved, such as helping me to get dressed. On occasions the right person will be required to drive my car to run errands and accompany me to social activities. Other Requirements Must have a UK driving licence Must have access to own vehicle All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts. Description Typical duties Domestic Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away Changing bed linen General cleaning Taking out rubbish Dusting and vacuuming. Preparing drinks, snacks and meals. Shopping Tidying Making tea for the employer's guests Personal Care: Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings Getting into bed Assistance with medication Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring') Social: Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities Accompanying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.
