Job Title: Support Worker

Location:  Eastleigh          

Hourly rate: £10.50 per hour day rate £15 per hour evening rate

6 hours every other Sunday 8am – 2pm

3-4 hours every other Friday 11am-3pm

More hours to be added when necessary

2 evenings per week for 1 hour each shift.  Days can be discussed at interview.



  • I am an easy-going, independent man who likes to have a laugh, looking for a reliable, confident and caring Personal Assistant/Support Worker.
  • I require support with general cleaning of a neat and tidy house, such changing the bed and laundry.
  • I require support with preparing meals and shopping from time to time.
  • A small amount of personal care is involved, such as helping me to get dressed.
  • On occasions the right person will be required to drive my car to run errands and accompany me to social activities.

Other Requirements


  • Must have a UK driving licence
  • Must have access to own vehicle

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Typical duties


Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away

Changing bed linen

General cleaning

Taking out rubbish

Dusting and vacuuming.

Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.



Making tea for the employer's guests

Personal Care:  

Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings

Getting into bed

Assistance with medication

Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')



Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required

Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities

Accompanying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.

Occasional longer journeys

Driving and accompanying to social events such as:


Accompanying on trips out e.g. to visiting friends, the garden centre, social events

The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car,

The successful applicant will be:

  • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
  • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
