I am a permanent wheelchair user and live very close to Angmering station with my son and two small dogs. The hours and days of work are open to discussion between the above times. Hours/Shifts 35 hours available per week More hours may become available in the near future Other Requirements Must be comfortable with pets All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts. Description About the employer: I enjoy watching motor sports, going to the cinema and going to the pub. Nature of the work: The basic requirements are: In the mornings I need help transferring using a hoist, occasional help in the bathroom, getting dressed, preparing a light snack, and getting in my car. In the evenings I need help with undressing, getting into the shower, some drying, and getting into bed using the hoist. Occasional help with applying creams, domestic duties, sorting laundry, etc. Typical duties Domestic - Some additional hours to be discussed will be available for light domestic work. Personal Care: Towelling dry/ drying hair Supervision and/or assistance with showering Help getting into and out of shower as required To be on call when employer takes shower. Assistance with applying cream Using the toilet Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings Getting into bed Assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring') Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat on occasions.
