Job Title: PA – Personal Care Assistant
Location:  Eastleigh          
Hourly rate: £10.80 per hour day rate, £15.00 per hour Evening rate

Hours/shifts: 9 hours per week to be arranged
• I am an easy-going, independent man who likes to have a laugh, looking for a reliable, confident and caring PA - Personal Assistant
• I need someone who has a full driving licence and is a confident driver, as the role will involve driving me to work in my own car
• I require support with light housework in a neat and tidy house, such changing the bed and laundry.
• I require support with preparing meals and shopping from time to time.
• A small amount of personal care is involved, such as helping me to get dressed.
Other Requirements
• Must have a UK driving licence 
• Must have access to own vehicle  
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
Typical duties
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Changing bed linen
General cleaning
Taking out rubbish
Dusting and vacuuming.
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Making tea for the employer's guests
Personal Care:  
Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Getting into bed
Assistance with medication
Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities
Accompanying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.
Occasional longer journeys
Driving and accompanying to social events such as:
Accompanying on trips out e.g. to visiting friends, the garden centre, social events
The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car,

• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
