Job Title: Personal Care Assistant
Location: Shawford near Winchester
Hourly rate: £10.50 per hour weekdays £14.00 per hour weekends

Hours/shifts: Hours are flexible - some or all of the following shifts:
Weekdays 08.00 - 14.30 and 14.30 - 19.30
Weekends 09.30 - 11.00 and 13.30 - 19.30
Weekday evenings 21.30 – 22.30
Given the nature of the role and the hours required, would suit two or more PAs.


I am a 24 year old young man living at home with my parents near Winchester. I love art and graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Illustration. When not working on my personal art projects I enjoy playing video games and watching TV, or going for walks with my dog.

Due to my condition, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy I am currently looking for one or more PAs to join my existing team to help me with all aspects of my life.

Typical duties

Personal Care:
Washing and bathing/showering
Drying hair
Assistance when applying cream
General hair / skin care
Using the toilet
Dressing & undressing, helping with buttons & fastenings
Assistance with getting in / out of bed with hoist
Assistance getting in / out of wheelchair (transferring)
Assistance at mealtimes: cutting up food, assistance to eat and drink
Assistance with physiotherapy exercises

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
