Hours/shifts:Up to 8 hours per week one day a week  ideally on a Wednesday  but day and time by mutual agreement
•  I am a disabled young male with complex health needs and live with my parents in Horley.
• My mother is my main carer and will be your employer
• I like to be chatted to and being indoors in a safe and protected environment.
• I am looking for an experienced and patient PA to carry out personal care and clinical tasks supporting my mother as my main carer. 
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided.

Typical duties
Personal Care:  
Full continence care (including changing pads)
Use of hoist - transfer from bed and wheelchair
Following correct procedure for moving and handling
Positioning properly in wheelchair and bed – postural management to avoid pain and bruising
Skin integrity – putting cream on and watching for chaffing/bruising from equipment
Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Use of suction machine to clear airways
Giving feed and fluids via a PEG, using a Feeding Pump
Help with pain management with repositioning and/or pain relief medication
Administering Medication
Oral Hygiene
General hair/skin care
Applying creams as required
Hoisting into and out of water genie
Regular passive movements and stretches
To watch closely for signs of need so my son is comfortable, safe and secure- supervision
Possibly in the future washing and bathing/showering (water genie) – towelling dry/ drying hair
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required

Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
