Personal Support Assistant DP4628 Job Title: Personal Support AssistantLocation: Bognor Regis Hourly rate: £10 per hour to start Reference: DP4628 Hours/shifts: 6 – 8 hours for a Wednesday or Thursday – flexible.Shift time will be approximately between 10am – 4pm – this can be negotiated if needed. Summary We are looking for a caring, supportive person to engage with and support our 31 year old daughter. She is able bodied and requires minimal, if any personal care. Her needs are complex having Autism, Valproate Syndrome and Language Disorder. She loves going out shopping and requires support going to her art classes. She also needs help to cope with daily living and remain sociable being such a vulnerable young lady. She is dependent on care and lives at home with us, her parents. It is easy initially to underestimate her needs which are complex. She is deaf in one ear and has deteriorating vision. She can become anxious and quiet in unusual circumstances, however, does not have to stick to daily rituals. Our daughter is very chatty, interactive and good with computers. Other Requirements • There is a genuine occupational requirement for a female support assistant "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9." • Must be willing not to smoke within our home• Must have a full UK driving licence with no points. The use of our car is available when taking our daughter out, so will need to be able to drive a manual Motability vehicle • Other : All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service checkSuccessful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
