Job Summary:

We are a dynamic Family/Team looking for fit, fun, enthusiastic, friendly, compassionate and dedicated people to join us.

We are 2 young men who are wheelchair users and require the support of our PA’s with all aspects of our lives. We are both currently in Higher Education. We need your support at home, to participate in the community in activities that interest us as individuals. The successful applicant will be issued with an Employment contract, a Job Description and Person Specification and must be willing to undertake online and classroom based mandatory Training, an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and complete necessary Risk Assessments. You will be entitled to Holiday Pay and must be comfortable around Pets (Cats and Chickens).
Car driver is not essential for this post.

We have 11 hours shifts everyday we need to cover .You can choose your day or days .This is a when required position or could lead to hours every weekend after the holidays on a regular basis this can be discussed at interview process.

Monday 8am-7pm = 11hours
Tuesday 8am -7pm =11 hours
Wednesday 8am -7pm =11 hours
Thursday 8am -7pm = 11 hours
Friday 8am -7pm =11 hours

More hours are available for this post: these can be either evenings or full weekend day hours and this can be discussed at interview

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.

Job Description:
Typical duties will include:
Personal Care
• Transferring young lads to and from wheelchairs / bed with use of a hoist
• Assisting young lads to eat meals
• Supporting young lads with bedtime routine
• Supporting young lads with changing needs as they grow older
• Any other reasonable task

• Light housework
• Preparing Food
• Any other reasonable task

• Playing with young lads
• Accompanying the young lads to school and medical appointments
• Any other reasonable task

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to this role
