Summary • Fit and enthusiastic Personal Assistants required to provide day to day care for two young lads with complex abilities, who enjoy football, cinema, bowling and swimming in school holidays• You will be working in a family environment within a team of 5 Pas to support two young lads aged 15 and 17 who are fully dependent. Full training will be provided.• The day will involve:• 7am – 8am, Personal Care, getting the lads washed, dressed and fed, ready for their school pickup • 8am – 10am, Escorting the lads to school in the taxi alongside another carer and returning back to the employers home• 2.15pm – 4.30pm, getting transport from employers home to the boys school and escorting them home• 4.30pm – 7pm, being there for my boys, getting them fed, washed and ready for bed • Please note that you will be working alongside a young team of PAs to look after both lads together. Although there may be some lone working on a one to one basis with one of them.• One young lad speaks verbally and can use up to 3 word sentences, he is a mischievous character and will keep you on your toes, the other is non-verbal and uses eye contact. Both are wheelchair dependent, lifting and handling involved in the position. Both boys will need a lot of assistance including during mealtimes and assistance with eating.Training available for the position.Other Requirements • Must be comfortable with pets – 2 Dogs, Cats and Chicken All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service checkSuccessful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
