Hourly rate: £9 per hour

Hours/shifts: The number of hours could increase to 16 over 2 days as well as holiday and sickness cover Monday and Wednesday.

 

Summary

  • Social support assistant required to help a young disabled gentleman maintain his independence.
  • He is a non-speaker who communicates predominantly using an app on his IPad.
  • He enjoys playing on football, rugby and ps4 and xbox and trips to theme parks, museums, zoos and theatre .
  • This role also includes accompanying him on days out to the cinema

Other Requirements

  • Must have a UK driving licence
  • Must have access to own vehicle

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description

Typical duties

Domestic -      

Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.

Personal Care:  

Assisting with using the toilet

Social:            

Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s manual wheelchair when out.

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
