Job Title: Social Support Assistant
Location: East Grinstead
Hourly rate: £10 per hour
Reference: DP6614
Hours/shifts: Role 1 – 6 hours per week during term time. Exact times/days to be agreed and discussed with the employer.
Role 2 – 14 hours per week during the 13 weeks per year Uni/College holidays. Monday-Friday. Exact times/days to be agreed and discussed with the employer.

I am a 21-year-old able bodied woman living with my mother. I have Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Social Communication Difficulties and Nystagmus. I would like to find someone to assist me to safely access my local community.

My routine is extremely important to me and I require someone that can commit to working with me in my home along with accompanying me whilst out in the community. I would like someone that can use their own initiative in helping me to plan my day and suggest ideas on gaining new experiences which will benefit my life and wellbeing.
I would really like someone to support me in becoming more independent and confident as this would greatly improve my quality of life. As I struggle with this it may take me a while to build a rapport with you. I would also like to be more confident with public transport so I can access my local community and take part in activities that I may find of interest. It would be ideal if you shared these interests so we could enjoy them together. Ideally, you will love animals, (I have a cat that is very special to me) and enjoy keeping up to date with popular TV programs ie. soap operas & reality TV as well as music.
I attend a college part time so also supporting me with my learning and education is important to me as well as improving my ability to interact with others so I have the freedom to participate in the things I enjoy.
This would be a very rewarding role for the right person. Could you be that person?
