Job Title: Support Worker

Location:  Alton          

Hourly rate: £9.25 per hour       

Reference:  HCC1028           

Hours/shifts: Flexible ad-hoc hours mostly in the evenings and at weekends

6 – 8 hours available



  • I am looking for a like-minded Social Support Assistant/ Support Worker with a clean UK driving license to support me to develop a social network
  • I would like somebody to encourage and accompany me to go out and about and make new friends, to go and see live bands, to go to the cinema and to access other social activities
  • I am looking for someone who has an interest in golf, as I enjoy playing
  • This role will involve driving my Motability car, so the right person will need to be 21 or over for insurance purposes and will need to be an experienced and confident driver
  • There is no personal care involved in this role

 Other Requirements

  • Must have a UK driving licence                    

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Typical duties


Accompanying and assisting a young disabled man on shopping trips when required

Driving and accompanying him when accessing social and leisure activities, including the cinema, quiz nights and to see live bands

Occasional longer journeys

The above duties will involve driving a Motability car

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
