Job Title: Social Support & Personal Care Worker
Location: Billingshurst
Hourly rate: £9.50 per hour, mileage paid and expenses
Reference: DP3272
Hours/shifts: Weekend shifts available, up to 6 hours two Saturdays a month


• I am a 15 year old girl who has cerebral palsy and global development delay
• I am fun and mobile and love going out and all sorts of activities
• I love being out and about
• I am a happy and interactive girl with my own responses
• To build a good relationships and increasing social interaction
• Support to prompt around personal care and assistance with dressing
• This would a role that could suit a person who has experiencing with young children or who has children themselves
• I love interacting with other children and really thrive from this social interaction
• This is a role that could suit a person that has experience with young people with learning difficulties or who has children themselves.
• This could suit two friends who would like to work together to take another young person out for fun activities
• This could also suit a mother with a younger child who would be able to integrate the employer into their lives for a number of hours over a couple of weekends a month.

Other Requirements

Must have a UK driving licence
Must have access to own vehicle
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Typical duties

Personal Care:
• Using the toilet
• Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
• Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities, including to swimming lessons
• I like a lot of activities and really enjoy being out and about

The successful applicant will be:

• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
