Hourly rate: £9.00

Hours/shifts: 5 hours a week on a Saturday/Sunday. Additional hours may be available during school holiday; this will be mutually agreed by the employer and employee.
Summary 
• I am looking for a support worker that can support and accompany me to leisure activities that I enjoy. These activities include: swimming, visiting the cinema, catching public transport and much more.
•  I am a 19 year old young man who is on the Autistic Spectrum and lives with OCD.
• This role is about supporting me to access activities that have an emphasis on gaining independent living skills and the confidence to try new things.
• I would need supervision when completing everyday tasks within the home, such as: preparing meals/snacks, making my bed and washing my laundry.
•  I react well to structure and routine.
• I require a driver with their own car.
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided.
Other Requirements 
 
• Must be comfortable with pets  
• Must have a UK driving licence 
• Must have access to own vehicle

Typical duties
Domestic -        
Supervise and reassure me to do the following tasks:
Domestic tasks associated with my support and care
Assisting the young person to;
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Helping with laundry, washing and drying
Loading and unloading the washing machine
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Bed making
General cleaning
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Shopping
Tidying
Personal Care:  
Prompt me to:
• Use the toilet
• Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Social:    
• Support me to access fun and leisure activities such as; cinema, park, visiting museums, shopping, swimming etc 
• Support me to use public transport
• Occasional longer journeys
• The above duties may involve driving me in your own vehicle

The successful applicant will be:     
• Able to tolerate the employer smoking in the work place

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
