Location:  Crawley

Hourly rate: £10.50 to £13.50 per hour

Hours/shifts: 12-hour shifts: 8.00am to 8.00pm or 8.00pm to 8.00am

Summary

  • I have a few exciting job opportunities for the right people starting as soon as possible. I currently personally care for someone with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I've cared for Neil for almost 3 years and we have developed a great friendship. We are currently looking for some new people to join us and in turn have the same great connection with Neil as we do.
  • We are trying to take a unique approach when looking for a new PA. This is mainly due to our recent determination to improve Neil’s quality of life and mental wellbeing.
  • Due to Neil’s physical limitations, it has been increasingly hard for him to attain any sort of social life over the years.
  • This is why it’s very important for us to find the right people to assist him with the social aspects in his life and the things he would like to do. Its easy for us to find good carers but it’s rare to find people that will be life-long friends to Neil.
  • This is also why this role would perfectly suit young and active people that are equally as optimistic and ambitious. Neil strongly feels that he is at this point in life and would like to be surrounded by like-minded people willing to help him achieve his goals. We believe that there are many things that Neil can do despite his condition; your job will include planning days out and doing whatever you need to do to support Neil with this. Personal care is structured and although we want to be doing more, responsibility is also very important.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK and be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check. You will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts. A valid UK driving license is essential.
  • If you are interested, please apply or drop me a message at: [email protected] so I can send you more information and a message from Neil himself. This will also include all the formal aspects as well as the full job description and person specification. We look forward to hearing from you
