Work in social care Working as a Personal Assistant Support Worker/ Personal Care Assistant BRR6555 Job Title: Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant Location: Worthing Hourly rate: £10.40Reference: BRR6555 Hours/shifts: Tuesday 3.00-5.00pm Thursday 3.00-5.00pm Saturday 12.00-4.00pm Summary • Personal Care assistant required to help a family living in Worthing.• The role will be to assist with a young disabled boy of 6 who has mobility difficulties, development delay and hearing loss. • He is a very sociable and adorable little boy and just needs extra help playing with his toys, art/painting, music, messy play and outdoor playing with his walker or trampoline. • Also to help him with interacting with other children, playing with his friends, brother, dogs. It’s important the PA likes small dogs and doesn't have allergies to animals. • My son is often poorly in the winter and full of beans in the summer so the job role will need to be adapted to suit his needs. • I am looking for someone who is flexible and ideally live locally to cover the occasional evening and weekend shift. • You would be required to clear up after activities/leave home tidy at the end of the shift. • Also you must be able to lift the child (although he is very slight) up and down stairs into a trampoline and in and out of his walker. • You should be very trustworthy and reliable. • It would be helpful if the person had experience of Makaton sign language skills although not essential as an enthusiastic person will pick it up quickly. • Full training will be given.
