Hours/shifts: 2 hours x 3 days, flexible, hours to be arranged/agreed. Day time during the week required.

Summary 
• I am looking for support for my 14 year old son who has mild cerebral palsy, autism, severe sensory processing disorder, speech and language delay and low-moderate learning disability.
• You would be required to support him at home and out in the community.
• Duties would include support with playing with toys and activity packs, help with toileting and washing hands, changing clothes when needed, tidying up after activities, taking him to activities such as clubs and swimming.
• He is very active and can be verbally demanding. He must be kept engaged, supervised and safe at all times.
• You should be experienced in working with children/young people with similar needs and be calm and patient.
• Driver with own car would be useful but not essential as public transport could be used to take him out.

Other Requirements 
• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description
Typical duties

Domestic - 
Clearing away/tidying up after activities in the home.

Personal Care: 
Support with toileting, washing hands and changing clothes when required.

Social: 
Support with activities at home e.g. playing with toys, using activity packs.
Accompanying and supporting with going to clubs, swimming.
Support with mixing with peers and other adults.
Keeping him engaged and active, supervised at all times.

• Calm and patient as he can be verbally demanding
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties as he is very active.
• Able to keep him safe and supervised at all times

• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Friendly and cheerful
• Creative
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
