Job Title: Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant

Hours/shifts: 6/7 hours Wednesday and Thursday (9am-3/4pm) times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.

Summary 
• I am an outgoing, fun and active 27-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy living with my family and dog in Goring.
• I am currently looking for a PA to start ASAP.
• The successful applicant would be comfortable with supporting me with personal care tasks. These include: toileting, showering, getting dressed/undressed, and preparing my dinner.
• The social aspect of this role includes: swimming, going to the cinema/pub, going to see friends, watching football and shopping.
• I need support in the swimming pool so ability to swim essential.
• Extra work on an ad hoc basis may be available too as well as some over nights.
• Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided.
• However, you must have a full driving license and be willing/able to drive my car for me (please do not apply otherwise).
• You should be friendly, trustworthy and reliable.

Person Specification

• Be comfortable to support me with Personal Care tasks
• Have a full driving licence and be willing/able to drive employer’s car
• Be comfortable around dogs
• Be able to swim and assist employer in swimming pool
• Be friendly and cheerful

• Reliable with good time-keeping
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
