Job Title: Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant

Hourly rate: £10.00 per hour

Hours/shifts: Monday evening 7-10pm, Wednesday and Friday evenings 5.30pm-9.30pm. Job share and extra hours may be available

Summary
● I am an outgoing, fun and active 27-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy living with my family and dog in Goring.
● I am currently looking for a PA to start ASAP.
● The successful applicant would be comfortable with supporting me with
personal care tasks. These include: toileting, showering, getting
dressed/undressed, and preparing my dinner.
● The social aspect of this role includes: swimming, going to the cinema/pub,
going to see friends, watching football and shopping.
● I need support in the swimming pool so ability to swim essential.
● Extra work on an ad hoc basis may be available too as well as some over
nights.
● Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided.
● However, you must have a full driving license and be willing/able to drive my
car for me (please do not apply otherwise).
● You should be friendly, trustworthy and reliable.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description
Personal Care:
● Support with toileting

Person specification
The successful applicant will be:
● Be comfortable to support me with Personal Care tasks
● Have a full driving licence and be willing/able to drive employer’s car
● Be comfortable around dogs
● Be able to swim and assist employer in swimming pool
● Be friendly and cheerful
● Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
● Reliable with good time-keeping
● Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
● Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
● Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
● Patient and flexible
● Be trustworthy and honest
● Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
● Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
● Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
