Hours/shifts: Various afternoon/evening shifts for 2-3 hours depending on activity. Earliest
start time could be around 2.45pm. Other shifts would start later than this
e.g. 5.30-6.30pm.

Summary 
• I am a friendly, chatty outgoing 23 year old lady who enjoys going out and doing various activities and classes within the local community.
• I am looking for a Support Worker who likes to have fun and is outgoing but most of all they must be able to keep me safe.
• I am unable to read or write and I have global delay which makes me extremely vulnerable and I cannot be left alone.
• I need a lot of direction and support to keep safe so I can enjoy being as independent as possible. I have no medical needs and personal care is not required.
• I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, listening to music, walking, yoga, horse riding, shopping, everything pink and girly, the list goes on...
• At the moment my activities and free time is in the afternoons/early evening during the week.
• Experience of working with young people with disabilities would be useful but not essential.
• You must be patient, punctual, reliable, fun loving and outgoing.
• Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential.

Description
Typical duties

Social: 
• Accompanying and supporting while out in the community doing activities and other classes.
• The above duties will involve driving the young lady in your car.
• With activities such as horse riding, you do not have to participate, just provide support and encouragement to the young person where able.

 Person specification
The successful applicant will be: 
• Experience of working with young people with disabilities would be useful but not essential
• Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
• Reliable with good time-keeping
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Honest and cheerful
• Creative
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
