Job Title:  Support worker/Personal (Care) Assistant

Hourly rate:   £8.40 Per hour

Hours/shifts:   2 hours per week, Tuesdays, flexible hours.  Extra hours may be offered later on. 


  • 56 year old disabled man living with his family in Lancing requires a Support Worker/Personal (Care) Assistant for assistance with domestic tasks
  • He has mobility and memory problems.
  • The main duties will be cleaning, ironing and shopping.
  • The opportunity to do extra hours to assist with other tasks e.g. personal care, meal preparation, attending appointments and social activities, may be offered in future as and when needed.  
  • A full driving licence and a willingness to drive the employer’s car would also be useful.
  • You should be trustworthy, reliable and cheerful.


2 hours per week, Tuesday, flexible hours.  Extra hours may be offered later on.  

Other Requirements

UK driving licence preferred

Access to own vehicle preferred

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Nature of the work:

To provide support to the disabled employer, to enable him to live independently.  The main duties will be providing domestic assistance in the home.  Some extra hours for other duties may be offered as and when needed.

  • Not smoke at work
  • Full driving licence preferred and be over 25 years old to drive the employer’s car
  • Have reasonable English, so that you could write a letter 
  • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
  • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
  • Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
