Job Title: Team Leader

Location:  Small Dole, Henfield          

Hourly rate:   £13-£15 per hour, depending on experience/following initial training period

Hours/shifts: This could be a full-time position for some if required or 2-3 long days per week of 9-12 hours per shift (additional hours available if required)


  • Team Leader/Personal Care Assistant/Nurse to head team of 10 carers looking after a young female adult with severe learning disability and medical needs
  • Position requires good PC skills and the ability to focus heavily and accurately on training new and existing staff, completion of new employee paperwork, booking staff training, updating procedures and supporting employer with ongoing PA Supervision and management
  • Applicants must be caring, conscientious, highly motivated, reliable, punctual, proactive, have a sense of humour and have the ability to follow written and verbal procedures accurately
  • Car owner/driver required – mileage paid
  • Rate £13-£15 per hour dependent on experience and after successful completion of probationary

My daughter is severely mentally and physically disabled and requires continuous support.  She is very sociable and generally happy, but is also extremely vulnerable.  She requires a lot of assistance with everyday tasks, including full personal care.  She has a mind of her own with a great sense of humour and a touch of mischievousness.

You will be required to support me in my role as employer, overseeing a Team of 10 PAs, assisting with general staff management.  You will also be required to provide full care and support to my daughter who has a tracheostomy/laryngectomy, a corrected spinal scoliosis and epilepsy.  She lives at home with her mother and brothers and attends a day centre 5 days a week.  She requires 2 x carers daily to give her support in these activities, as well as helping to manage a tracheostomy and her epilepsy and to promote learning, recreation and socialistaion into her life.  This includes transporting her to and from her activities in the PAs own car (mileage paid) and supporting her at home.  She is a very happy, sociable girl with a good sense of humour. 

Equally important is having plenty of common sense, responsibility and 100% reliability and the ability to follow procedure accurately and carefully and to remain calm in all situations. 


Additional duties

Domestic -  General household duties relating to the care of my daughter.

Personal Care:  - Assistance with all care required to keep my daughter clean and healthy.  Support with all aspects of her daily care routine to include physio, epilepsy management, feeding and tracheostomy care.
